My Ultimate 3 Blogging Startup Tips That Every Blogger Should Know

Blogging startup seems an amazing side hustle idea to make money online and most people simply cannot wait to start their blogging business, but…they quickly realized that this is NOT all that every “successful” blogger is making it out to be.

Are you tired to go researching how to make money blogging? Maybe burnout of turning your hour into days or months writing without making money from blogging?

The moment you fall into this trap as a new blogger roadblock appears… it can be overwhelming and many bloggers run the other way giving up their dreams. So I’m here to alleviate some of that frustration.

In this post, we’ll talk about:

How to Start a Making Money Blog

By now, you’re probably feeling frustrated and overwhelmed from writing a blog post, social media management, and even SEO tasks. And it feels like you’re drowning and can never get on top of everything you do blogging.

Most bloggers are stuck in the mud-spinning wheels and not making money. Let me ask you first…what is your passion?

Often, bloggers failed to make money blogging simply because they don’t know what’s their passion is. If you are not passionate about the things you’d want to write or talk about, you’ll definitely NOT enjoy blogging and won’t stick with it.

Blogging is not as simple as writing about random stuff. In fact, before I see money deposited into my bank account and able to travel and work at my own paceI’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears into my blogging business.

Actually, anyone can start a making money blog and create a good living by doing what you love.

What is your Passion?

You may want to start by asking these questions:

  • What does everyone around you say you’re good at?
  • Figure out your no.1 thing you want to talk about for hours and hours?
  • Types of things do friends or family usually seek your advice for?
  • What do you enjoy doing REALLY?

A blogging startup was just a dream for me nine years ago.  And since I have 16 years of experience in a business startup that I know how to create, run, and implement business systems,  I decided to start blogging to help others to make money online for them NOT to depend on anyone or anything when it comes to money-making.

My full intention behind everything I do is to motivate and encourage you to maximize your self-worth by turning your genius into dollars to create the version of the life you love. I am sure that you don’t want to live with uncertainty as well as babysit your business, do you?

Maybe you love to cook Ayurveda meals then start an Ayurveda cooking blog. Maybe you love to teach children social behavior then you can start a parenting blog. What about gardening? Cars? Budgeting? Whatever it is that you love to do, you can start turning that passion into money blogging.

The first thing to do is identify what you love doing.  Now, if you are not so sure of what your passion is or don’t know how to find it, then here are my baby steps to find your IKIGAI to help you find the things that you love doing and get paid. You just need to invest some time in this process and I promise that you won’t regret it.

Do Bloggers Really Make Money?

The short answer is, yes, it is possible to create a good living I mean a very good one by writing about the things that you are passionate about and that you speak to the right readers.

You could be a freelance, employed blogger for an established company or you can start your own blog from scratch.

For me, personally, when I first started my blog, I make money blogging without a product because creating a product takes time. So I started to promote the email service provider that I use during those initial days – the Pure Leverage of Joel Therien. This is how they can compensate for my blogging startup business tools.

Then, I shifted to GetResponse for me to automate my business process until now. So even I am promoting other products as their affiliate/associate partner, I make it a point that I BUILD my own business asset (my own mailing list).

How can I make money as a new blogger?

Most bloggers start with Google Adsense and work up to working with sponsors. But, for the most part, that isn’t enough to even pay your rentals and bills unless you have a gazillion of traffics each month. And by the way, that will really cost you a LOT of money.

Listen, if there is someone who tells you making money online is easy, then better run away…

I’ve done everything in my power, gasped some air to stay afloat in my online business. And it takes a lot of time to build your audience to the point where you can build the like and trust. My main source of income is my coaching service. I do consult for individuals and businesses.  I also have passive income from my online courses and still do affiliate marketing.

The process of building my blogging startup has not been easy. I made a lot of mistakes, trials, and errors, but I learned how to engage those mistakes and turn them into REAL income.

Here are my 10+ business startup ideas to help you explore when you’re stuck in your career path. I hope you will get encouraged and motivated today to improve your situation.

My Ultimate 3 Blogging Startup Tips

In order to create a successful blogging business startup, you need to have complete clarity around these three elements, SERIOUSLY!

1. Your Mission

What is your blogging startup going to be all about?  This is how you get readers excited about the topic that you will talk about in your blog post. So what’s at the heart and soul of your blogging?

In the beginning, you can list down some affiliate marketing companies or products that line up with your name or brand, your values, and your audience needs. For example, if you build a cooking blog, you can be an affiliate first for recipes, cookbooks, or maybe cooking equipment you love and use.

You can check Amazon Associate CentralClickbank, or Commission Junction to see some companies and products that match what you love to talk about in your blogging business.

There’s no need to be fancy in creating your business mission.  Your mission is to express your blogging purpose. It announces to the world at large why your blogging business exists.

2. Your Audience

Your audience is your tribe. The people who will absolutely love your content.  Knowing your audience well will help you to make decisions about what information you should cover, how you should arrange that information, and what kind of vehicle will be necessary for the reader to understand what you are presenting.

Once you know who you are writing for and understand their needs, you can begin to customize your writing to meet their needs. Like for example, if you are in a position of authority over your readers, your tone of writing will be more instructional and authoritative.

Perhaps, if the reader has background knowledge about your topic or has more knowledge than you, then don’t give the reader the information he or she already knows.

It’s really important to understand and know your audience well before you even begin writing. This is crucial for any blogging startup business foundation.

3. Your Added Value

How you add value to your audience will play a huge part in building a solid blogging successful business. You need to make serving your audience the priority in your business.

Think of this, if you and your competitor offer the same product, what’s going to make customers choose you over them? Value, my friend.

So it doesn’t matter if your price tag is $10 or $1,000, the objective is to get the audience focused on the benefits they can have. You need to highlight the outcome they can get if they buy your product or use your services. Even if you and your competitor offer the same product, there’s almost always something you can do extraordinary better in your favor.

  • What problems your products or services are solving for your customers?
  • How does your product or service benefit your customers?
  • Are they satisfied with the solution you offer them?

So make sure your added value shines through in all of your blog post writing, marketing efforts, topic ideas, videos, podcasts, webinars, and everything in between.

Final Thoughts

So, if you honed into a blogging startup, as a new blogger, the best thing for you to do is your first 100 posts SHOULD BE DAILY!

Yes, I did that during my early blogging startup days.

I posted every single day for 2 years straight and my post was around 300-500 words.  My grammar sucked but I’ve tried to give my readers what they need.  So don’t worry about writing a blog post that consists of 1,400 words or longer or doing SEO, backlinks, or anything like that now.

Just do what you know now and don’t worry about those things that you don’t understand.

Do it one step at a time. Just make it simple because the most important is to focus on the basics by writing what your audience would love to read that is around your passion. Don’t make things complicated.

If people loved your content, this is how you will start to engage your audience and they will start sharing it with everyone.

Figure out what it is your audience WANTS you to talk about!

Hopefully, this blogging startup has taught you how to start a money- making blog.
