Want To Quit Your Job But You Need Money

Are you stressed out at Work and want to quit your job but you can’t?

If you are thinking about quitting your job but you can’t because of money and worried about the other consequences, this post and insights might help you decide when is really the right time to walk away from your job.

A lot of people want to quit their job but can’t leave because of different reasons:

  • Financial incentives that your companies offer to you, so you don’t leave
  • You don’t have a new job to go to & don’t know if you can find another job in the same field
  • You need the money and you can’t afford to miss even one paycheck to pay your bills
  • You may have a mortgage to pay or a family to help supportMaking the decision to quit from a secure job can be difficult to most of us. Because quitting a job leads to many  lifestyle changes, and that can be scary even to the most gifted or skilled person.

Best Tips Before Quitting Your Job

If you are looking for a change, but afraid to walk away from your 8 to 5 job and unsure of what to do, you’re not alone. The fear of letting go of a steady paycheck and discovering the unknown can be daunting to anyone including myself.  Many people get stuck in the jobs they don’t like, but there are ways to make the best of a less than ideal situation.

There will never be the best time to quit your job. I used to work for someone else for 23 years of my life until I made my biggest decision in my life last May 2 of 2012 quitting my job. By the way, my husband and I quit our job together, so can you imagine giving up 2 monthly paychecks?  It’s not easy & fun.

It is almost impossible to create the perfect timing you need in order to make a change in reaching your personal goals and dreams.

You just need to go out from your comfort zone and venture out in finding what really makes you inspired to get up each morning and do the things that really matters to you.   It’s not hard to decide what you want your life to be about, but what’s hard is filtering out what you’re willing to give up & do the things that you really truly love doing.

LESSONS I LEARNED AFTER I QUIT MY JOB

I’m definitely not trying to encourage you to march into your own boss office and quit your job tomorrow without any plan of contingencies – unless you have something deep inside you that you really want to achieve someday, then follow your intuition.

Here are some of my (many, many, many) biggest lessons I learned….

I learned how to perfect the Art of Failure! because every time I made mistakes, I found my way out to correct it.

– When reason ends, your faith begins
– Change is opportunity, do what you can with what you have
– Do not be afraid to step forward, otherwise you will be always in the same place where you are right now
–  Always take your One Step Up!

Everybody says “You would be foolish to give up a steady paycheck and a corporate job security” to take a chance on something new, but for me – Having a life worth living starts with happiness in loving what you do, enjoying every bit of the process of what really makes you happy in making a difference to someone’s life and this is usually the result of having a meaningful happy life for me.

I have no regrets and very grateful that I made that big decision in my life 4 years back while I am writing this post today.

3 Top Suggestions To Help You Decide If You
Should Quit Your Job Now or Wait A While:

1. Monitor your finances. If your no.1 reason why you can’t quit your job is because you don’t have enough money to pay your monthly bills, then it is more better to work on your finances first before you take any drastic steps to say goodbye to your current job. Actually it is ideal to work on your finances even if you don’t plan on quitting your job because there are things beyond our control like accidents, illness, death, job layoffs that we cannot control.

Financial planning will help your decision to quit your job now or stay where you are until you get your finances in order.

2.  Finding your dream life. What is really your dream life would look like. What is it inside you why you want to quit your job? Do you want to find a better job? Or do you want to be your own boss? Or do you want to change the world? Do you want to make a difference to someone’s life? Or you just want to do it because you just feel like doing it?

Do some visualization exercises and write down anything that inspires you to imagine a better place for yourself. You can cut some images of  your dream house, car, places that you want to visit and so on. Like for me  and my husband, we even drafted a check hanging in our bedroom of our target amount that we want to hit by 2019 and I remember few years back we were also visualizing having our dream car, we even bought a matchbox model of this car.  Guess what??? Last year we were able to have this car.

Dreaming and visualization are free, so make sure to visualize & dream big!  I really cannot explain how this works, but it REALLY WORKS for me.

3.  Invest to yourself. Sometimes we think that we know everything. If the amount of money you want to earn doesn’t reflect to your bank account that means there is something that you don’t know. Don’t stop learning. Don’t overestimate or underestimate your capabilities. If you want to reach your destination, look for someone that already been to the destination you want. Find the right mentor to guide you and associate yourself with those people that gives you inspiration because they know something that you don’t know.

This is exactly what I did when I quit my job, I flew all the way to the United States from the Philippines on September of 2013 just to meet those multi-millionaires online marketers to compressed my time and learning in doing my online business.

Now ask yourself, will the decision to quit your job bring you closer to your goals?

What goals quitting your job will help you achieve?

I have my own personal reasons why I quit my job and you should know yourself why you want to quit your job.

Anyway, at the end of the day, only you can decide what is best for you and your family.
