The Step-By-Step Guide To Find Your Life Purpose

1. Find Your IKIGAI

According to Japanese culture, everyone has IKIGAI. I am sure that you want to do something that will make you happy and satisfied, but you don’t know how and where to start?

If you are committed to making a change in your life, I assure you that you will get there.

But you need to put the work in.

Ready?

Your IKIGAI is seen as the convergence of four primary elements:

  1. What you love (your passion)
  2. What the world needs (your mission)
  3. Knowing what you are good at (your vocation)
  4. Discovering what you can get paid for (your profession)

This action planner (find your IKIGAI) is a good start on your journey. Free up at least one hour of undisturbed time. Sit down and spend time answering some powerful self-reflection questions with a blank version of this action planner.

By the end of it, you’ll have a better understanding of that are important in your life and career.

2. Focus On What Is Within Your Control

There are things you can control every day like your mindset, your effort, your meals, your schedule, your career, and your money.

And things that you cannot control like a job layoff, diseases, death, time, the economy, and your age.

When we focus on what we can control, it helps us to be in control of the situation, and make radical (instead of emotional) decisions and changes.

The job market wasn’t any much better.

Millions of jobs had been lost. More and more people couldn’t find work.

You’re not getting any younger and about to hit your retirement age.

It’s great to break everything down those things that you can be on top of it and start creating an inspirational life plan for how you can maximize your self-worth. So if you already found your IKIGAI (your sweet spot), then you are on your way to bringing joy into your life, be motivated, energized and keep you going.

3. Evaluate Where You Are Now

It’s hard to plan for your future if you don’t know where you stand in your life right now.

Surprising that most people want to be financially free, but…seriously, when you ask them about their big dreams they can simply answer you back by saying:

  • Travel the world whenever I want
  • Buy my dream house
  • Travel on a private jet
  • Have my dream car

Really.

Let’s be realistic here.

If I will ask you now, how much is your current lifestyle?

Can you honestly answer this?

If you can’t answer my simple question above, it’s time to do the life audit that allows you to look at your life from a different perspective.

You can start by answering the questions below.

This is a good starting point to evaluate where you are now:

  • Have you ever calculated where you stand financially before you think about your big dreams?
  • What is the main difference between your current net worth and your future net worth?
  • Would you like to change your career based on your IKIGAI?
  • Do you want to create a life that you truly and your family deserve?

4. Discover Your Innermost Desires

Every one of us needs to have food, clothing, water, and shelter to live.

But for you to reach the top of the career ladder, be happy with the work you love, and be successful, then you need to know your innermost desires to organize your life of freedom and purpose.

Because lack of awareness about this can bring you a wrong sense of life purpose.

The trick to this is to try to find out what you can do over time without any emotional attachment to money.

Observe the world with your eyes and your senses.

How have you helped others?

Your innermost desire you’ll find with time and you just need to be patient about it.

As you’ll begin to see patterns that will help you find your life purpose.

5. Focus On Your Strengths

If you are uninspired by the work you do day to day, then listen to what other people appreciate about you.

Now, if you focus on the things that you are good at this will help you gain vitality, be more productive, experience less stress, earn more, and feel satisfied with your life. There was nothing expensive or difficult in focusing on your strengths.

  • What makes you feel engaged and focused?
  • What did you always want to do?
  • How would you like to change people’s lives?
  • If you can launch a product or service tomorrow, what it should be?

6. Understand That Finding Your Life Purpose Is a Journey. Not a Destination.

Discovering your life purpose will not happen overnight.

It’s a process in which you’ll unleash your greatest potential step-by-step in creating a life that you deserve.

If you want to get rich, then you need to educate yourself on how to create multiple streams of income. Accordingly to USA Consensus Bureau, 9.1% of women and 6.6% of men were working more than one job.

So, if you lose your job, you fall behind paying your bills or even hesitated to see a doctor.

Look at it this way:

Wealthy people not only have multiple streams of passive income, but they also make time to educate themselves and continue to grow to find their life purpose.
